Following the negative impact of the global market crisis and consumption on the reference markets (books, music, home video) and a negative trend in sales for the sixth consecutive year, Librerie Feltrinelli Srl, in order to avoid the declaration of redundancy of personnel, signed, on 9 October 2017 at the headquarters of the Unione del Commercio in Milan, the solidarity contracts for the workers of the three companies Librerie Feltrinelli, Finlibri and Librerie delle Stazioni which we attach to this document.
The defined reduction in hours will run from 1 November 2017 to 23 September 2018 and will concern:
– Feltrinelli bookstores: 21 stores from a minimum of 20% to a maximum of 48% and will involve 511 workers;
– FINLIBRI: Casalecchio sales point with a percentage of 23% and will involve 8 workers;
– STATION BOOKSTORE: Rome Fiumicino sales point with a percentage of 32.50% and will involve 10 workers.
As regards Ferrara, the solidarity contract will involve all workers with a percentage reduction in hours of 34%.
This reduction in hours will absorb, for the duration of the CDS, the current 85 redundancies. Furthermore, the development policy will continue (opening of RED stores) and there will be particular attention to reducing redundancies also through possible internal relocations whenever open job positions are created.
